  1. Very good quality! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Jan 2014

When this arrived I looked it over thinking that it would feel like a cheaper vest, but after breaking it in for a whole week. All I can say is WOW; this thing is sturdy and great quality. I would recommend this plate carrier to anyone!

  2. Condor MOPC Plate Carrier 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Sep 2013

This is exactly what I was looking for without spending an arm and a leg. Shipped to Afghhanistan in less than a week. My medium plates fit without issue with space if they were large. Accepted all of my gear with no issues. Would rank the stitching up there with my 511 back packs. Low profile gives me far greater movement and is way lighter than my issued IOTV.

Sure, you can find better, but not for less than $70. Well worth the money and don't forsee it falling apart on a mission.

  3. Great Vest 5 Star Review

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He is extremely pleased with it. We do not have any plates for it at this time but will probably add some in the future. The vest is extremely well made and the additional Condor accessories that I purchased attach easily and fit tightly -- no worries about them being in the way because they are too loose. The price was the best I found during my Internet search and it was shipped quickly and even contained a handwritten thank you for the purchase from the owner.

  4. Affordable Option 3 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Nov 2012

I purchased this vest in Spring 2010 while deployed in Eastern Afghanistan. I wanted something that was lighter and easier to move around in than my IOTV, as I was in and out of helos and vehicles constantly.
Very affordable and it arrived quickly. It had molle room for all my equipment, and even enough space above my mag pouches for a Serpa holster (if chest carry is your thing). It's as light as they come and easy to move around in.
The side pouches were too small for my side plates. Oops. I should have made some measurements first, but I wrongly assumed that the vest would accept standard issue sizes. They were able to squeeze in, but the top flap would not reach the velcro. Also, the frontal section of the vest is not secure, and when running, the weight of the mag pouches in the front caused the vest to flap up and down constantly. This happened no matter how much I tightened the vest, and I am not a skinner-than-average dude. I'm 6'0, 185lbs.

Overall decent carrier, but measure your plates first. And tighten that sucker down. Also, be sure to adjust the shoulder straps so that the plate fully covers your chest. Since the carrier is made of nylon and not any other ballistic material, your plates will be the only protection you get. Keep that in mind.

I would like to note that there is a second velcro flap down inside the pocket that has to be folded up for the flap to connect when using 8" plates. We have seen this fix all of the complaints concerning the flap not reaching so far...hopefully this will fix your problem as well.
